A complete artist hub: how we built mannimoritz.com
Looping video background, show geolocation, a B2B portal for music sync and licensing. From briefing to launch on a full-scope project.
The challenge
Manni Moritz needed far more than a website. She needed a complete artist hub: a digital presence that reflected the complexity of a career as an Atmospheric Country Rock singer — a genre she helped define.
What was built
A looping video background on the homepage, rendered with a Lighthouse performance score of 90+. An interactive biography timeline with chronologically ordered events. A discography with an integrated player. A tour schedule with geolocation via the Google Maps API — visitors see the shows closest to their location.
An editorial blog so Manni can publish content without relying on a developer. An integrated merch store. A B2B portal for music sync and licensing — radio stations and music supervisors can request a license directly through the site.
Stack and technical decisions
Next.js 15 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS. Deployed on Vercel with CI/CD via GitHub. The video background uses next/video with conditional lazy loading — on mobile, it's replaced with a static image to guarantee performance.
The result
From zero to live. A production-ready site, documented and fully functional. Manni publishes content on her own. Shows appear automatically on the map. Licensors come in through the B2B portal.
